Body Makeover and Water Consumption

An important part of the 6 Week Body Makeover is drinking enough water. You can go without food for an extended period of time, but this is not true of going without water. Water is very important to your overall health. It helps to flush out impurities in the body. Water also carries oxygen and nutrients from our daily food consumption to other parts of our body.

Water and weight loss are interchangeable key aspects when attempting to lose weight. Water fills us up and so decreases our appetite for food. This will help us to cut down on calories. Water helps us to maintain proper body temperature. Keeping your body well hydrated will prevent dehydration.

Dehydration can damage nearly every organ, disrupt electrolyte balance and even cause you to go into shock, amongst other harmful effects. If not treated quickly, dehydration can cause permanent tissue damage and death.

Replacing lost fluids as soon as possible is vitally important when dehydration occurs. Medical treatment for dehydrated patients consists of introducing fluids by IV as well as through drinking small quantities of water frequently.

People often wonder "how much water should I drink each day? Physicians recommend that people drink 64 ounces if water daily, or about eight glasses. When you're properly hydrated, your metabolism operates far more efficiently, working at a rate as much as 30% higher than in those who are slightly dehydrated. This means that drinking enough water each day can be a big help in losing weight and maintaining a healthy body weight.

It is best, if possible, to drink the suggested amounts of water to flush waste out of our bodies and keep it hydrated. Drinking a glass of water approximately 10 to 15 minutes before each meal with a glass in between each meal will be beneficial in our weight loss attempts.

There's no time like the present to make sure you're hydrated. Get up right now and get a glass of water; Ill wait. Now that you're back, have a glass of water as you read. If you were about to have a snack a few minutes ago, you'll find that you don't feel nearly so hungry after drinking water. Best of all, that snack you might have had could contain hundreds of calories, while that glass of water you had instead had zero!

Have a glass of water each morning after waking. Drink a glass before each meal and another about one hour after eating. Most people will be able to get eight glasses per day using this method. Once youre getting all of the water your body needs to stay hydrated, cleanse naturally and maintain proper weight, youll start to see the positive impact of proper hydration on your weight quickly. Whether you prefer spring water, filtered water or plain tap water, make sure to get those eight glasses every day, especially if youre trying to slim down. Drinking water is always an important part of any diet as well as a crucial part of the 6 Week Body Makeover.
